“Mythic Creatures, Real Encounters.”
The Florida Bigfoot, also known as the Skunk Ape, is a mysterious creature said to roam the swamplands of the Sunshine State. Described as a large, hairy, ape-like creature, it’s typically reported to be around 7-10 feet tall and covered in reddish-brown fur. Sightings date back to the 1960s, with many reported in the Everglades and surrounding areas. Some believe it’s a relic of prehistoric times, while others think it’s a myth or a hoax. Either way, the Skunk Ape has captured the imagination of many, inspiring local legend and curiosity. Its strong, unpleasant odor is often reported, adding to the mystery.
